Calibration
ITC’s calibration laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, which assures the quality of ITC’s calibration results by:
- meeting the requirements of standards such as ISO 9001, QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO/IEC 17025.
- providing traceability to the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
- Being internationally recognized through agreements with NIST/NVLAP, APLAC, and ILAC.
ITC’s Calibration Laboratory can calibrate your instruments and verify they are measuring properly. Our team of experienced calibration technicians and metrologists can provide the support and experience you need to maintain your quality systems and operations.
To ensure your equipment stays accurate and reliable, our calibration lab has many different accredited services to offer you including:
- Dimensional calibration – gauge blocks, ring gauges, plug gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, extensometers, actuator travel displacement & speed, surface tables, setting plugs, thread plugs, thread rings
- Pressure calibration – hydraulic and pneumatic pressure gauges ranging from -15 psi to 10,000 psi
- Force calibration – load cells and force machines in calibration and tension up to 600,000 lbf
- Mass calibration – balances and scales using ANSI/ASTM Class 1 calibration weights and NIST Class F calibration weights. From 1 mg to 500 lbf.
- Hardness calibration – Rockwell hardness testers, Vickers hardness testers, Knoop hardness testers, Brinell hardness testers
Our calibration lab can also provide non-accredited services that will verify your equipment and provide traceability to NIST, including:
- Dimensional – protractors, rulers, squares, straight edges
- Thermal – temperature gauges, infrared temperature gun
- Force – cable tension meters
We utilize the proper equipment for the job, and select the best software and fixturing to ensure an accurate and effective calibration. These include:
- Pratt and Whitney Measurement Systems Labmaster Universal and 1000A Laser Interferometer distance measuring systems, capable of measuring up to 80 inch length standards
- Mitotuyo Optical comparator
- Tovey Engineering Precision indicator load cell system and software, and Tovey Engineering Laboratory grade load cells varying from 300 lbf to 270,000 lbf
- Morehouse load cell and measuring system capable of up to 600,000 lbf (2,670 kN)
- Crystal Engineering pressure calibration test system capable of -15 psi vacuum up to 10,000 psi
- Wyler AG Leveltronic surface table measurement system with table lapping capability
- Various measurement equipment from industry leaders (Mitutoyo, Mahr Federal, Rice Lake, Troemner, Southern Gage, WIKA)
